ClearCorrect®
In Waukegan, IL
The ClearCorrect® system begins in the dentist or orthodontist’s office with taking molds to design your trays. Patients switch trays every two weeks to gradually shift the teeth. The system requires a visit to the office every six weeks so that treatment can be monitored. Once treatment is complete, a patient will likely be given a retainer to maintain the smile.
The cost of ClearCorrect® varies according to the complexity of the case. Insurance policies generally cover ClearCorrect® to the same extent that they cover traditional braces.
ClearCorrect® vs Braces
ClearCorrect® aligners offer more than just a discreet look—they fit seamlessly into your lifestyle. Unlike traditional braces, there are no brackets or wires, so you won’t have to give up your favorite foods. Simply remove the trays before eating and enjoy meals without restrictions.
ClearCorrect® is also ideal for busy adults. There’s no need for frequent office visits for adjustments—most patients just switch to a new set of aligners every two weeks, making the process both convenient and efficient.

Frequently Asked Questions
If crooked or crowded teeth are affecting your confidence or standing in the way of your best oral health, ClearCorrect may be the ideal solution. To find out if you're a candidate, schedule a consultation with Dr. Avery by calling (847) 610-6469.
During your visit, you'll have the opportunity to share your smile goals, and Dr. Avery will assess your oral health to create a personalized treatment plan tailored specifically to your needs.
You’ll wear your ClearCorrect aligners for most of the day—typically around 22 hours—removing them only for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing. While treatment plans vary from patient to patient, most cases are completed in about twelve months.
Throughout your treatment, you’ll visit the dental office periodically to check your progress and receive your next set of aligners, ensuring everything stays on track.
Although ClearCorrect aligners are much easier to maintain than traditional braces, it’s still important to follow a few simple guidelines to keep them clean and in great shape between sets.
Along with removing your aligners before eating or drinking anything other than water, be sure to:
- Rinse before reinserting: Always rinse your aligners with water before placing them back in your mouth to remove saliva and debris.
- Soak regularly: Clean your aligners by soaking them in a clear, anti-bacterial soap solution to prevent cloudiness and odor.
- Maintain oral hygiene: Continue brushing your teeth twice a day and flossing daily to keep your mouth healthy throughout treatment.
- Brush aligners gently: Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and water—without toothpaste—to gently clean your aligners when you brush your teeth.
- Store properly: When not in use, keep your aligners in their protective case to avoid loss or damage.
